KF Collegium Of Eminent Scientists

In order to bring deserved recognition to the achievements of Polish scientists, the Kosciuszko Foundation (KF) in 2012 established the „Kosciuszko Foundation Collegium of Eminent Scientists.”

The goals of this initiative are:

  • to honor eminent scientists of Polish origin and ancestry who have achieved recognition in the United States.
  • to recognize, highlight, and publicize their achievements and important contributions to their respective fields of science through hosting the Collegium’s lecture series. Significant achievements by Polish scientists are provided to news media and made accessible through the internet.
  • to identify, record, and catalog eminent Polish scientists and scientists of Polish descent residing in the United States. This compendium will be of interest to future historians in Poland and elsewhere, as well as to Polish organizations.

Consideration for Collegium membership is open to natural scientists of distinction working in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, and other cross-disciplines that are essential tools of scientific research, e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, and information sciences.
