Get to know the artists:

Born in 1977 into a musical lineage in Warsaw, Michal Drewnowski began his piano journey in Italy at eight, mentored by his father, Marek Drewnowski. He graduated with honors from the University of Music in Lodz. Further studies at the Geneva Conservatory under Dominique Merlet and Pascal Devoyon led to a Master’s Degree with distinction in 2006. Drewnowski’s musical growth includes masterclasses with luminaries and a doctorate in 2014, focusing on the unknown Polish composer Tadeusz Majerski. He uncovered and recorded Majerski’s compositions for Toccata Classics. An award-winning pianist, his performances have graced audiences in multiple countries. Beyond music, he showcased acting talent, portraying Chopin and Paderewski in theatrical productions. Drewnowski’s discography, featuring albums with acclaimed recording companies, has earned praise in musical publications. Drewnowski is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Music in Lodz. Thanks to the Kosciuszko Foundation Exchange to the U.S. Program, he holds a Visiting Professor position at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Roosevelt University. His dedication to education and promoting Polish classical music continues to leave a lasting impact.

Margot Zarzycka, a violinist born into a family of classical musicians, originally comes from Szczecin, Poland. Margot is a winner and finalist of numerous European violin competitions. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance and Education from the Music Academy in Poznan and a Master of The Arts in Violin Performance and Education from the Academy of Music in Gdansk, Poland. She also holds a Performance Diploma from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Since 2000, Margot has maintained a full-time core violin position with the Sarasota Orchestra in Florida. Margot is an active soloist and chamber musician, performing throughout the United States and Europe. Recently, Margot was awarded the prestigious Ignacy Paderewski Civic Achievement Award for her musical contributions to Polish-American Culture in Europe and the United States.
