Polish Studies
About
Over the years, the Kosciuszko Foundation has helped fund Polish Studies at over 20 American Universities, increasing American knowledge about the Polish language, culture, and history. Every year, the KF supports 2-3 teaching fellows from Poland through the KF Exchange to the U.S. program.
The Kosciuszko Foundation invites everyone to join its mission and help support Polish Studies in the U.S. By becoming a KF member or donating, individuals can directly support KF initiatives aimed at educating Americans about Polish culture and history and help create the lasting image of Poland as a modern and diverse country.

Students who cannot dedicate their time to concentrating in Slavic Studies but are passionate about learning the Polish language and Polandās rich heritage can apply for the Certificate in Intercultural Competence at Brown. Both Polish language and culture classes count towards Certificateās requirements.Ā Ā An important part of the program is a student-run Polish American Club which organizes lectures and social events centering on Poland. The Club also runs the weekly Polish Table offering students free conversations in Polish with native/near-native speakers. Each qualifying student in the Polish Program can apply for a fellowship to complete summer language and culture study in Poland.Ā
