Janczewski Prize 2025: Dr. Konrad Pieszko

Dr. Konrad Pieszko was honored for his groundbreaking study on using artificial intelligence to detect left atrial thrombus — a dangerous cause of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. His research, published in the European Heart Journal, introduced LAT-AI, a non-invasive, highly predictive diagnostic model based on data from over 4,300 patients across 14 centers.

His work is already receiving international recognition and has the potential to transform cardiological diagnostics.
