Celebration of Tadeusz Kosciuszko’s Imieniny by the KF Chicago Chapter

The Kosciuszko Foundation Chicago Chapter cordially invites you to a celebration of Tadeusz Kosciuszko’s Imieniny (Name-Day)—a tradition started by Alex Storozynski, President of the Kosciuszko Foundation from 2008 to 2014. This event is both a celebration of the Polish-American community organized by the KF Chicago Chapter and a tribute to the legacy of Tadeusz Kosciuszko—honoring his enduring contributions to Polish and American history.

In the spirit of the original Imieniny celebration hosted by Prince Adam Czartoryski for Kosciuszko at the Sieniawa Palace in 1792, we gather to commemorate his life, achievements, and ideals.

This year’s celebration will also serve to recognize the distinguished contributions of
Professor John Kulczycki, Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Illinois at Chicago, whose academic work and civic engagement have greatly enriched the Polish-American community, especially in the field of historical scholarship.

Program Highlights

• Lecture by Professor Kulczycki:
  “The Polish National Identity in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Its Legacy”

• Musical performance

• Reception with refreshments

• Raffle

Admission and Support

A suggested donation of $20 is requested. All proceeds will support the Kosciuszko Foundation’s scholarship programs and educational initiatives.
