Unveiling of the Historical Marker Commemorating Dr. Hilary Koprowski

We are thrilled to announce a special event hosted by The Kosciuszko Foundation, Philadelphia Chapter, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

Please join us for the unveiling of a historical marker dedicated to Dr. Hilary Koprowski, the eminent scientist and inventor of the oral polio vaccine, and former Director of the Wistar Institute.

Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at the Wistar Institute, a premier biomedical research institution recognized by NIH and internationally. The event will bring together former scientific collaborators, colleagues, and friends of Dr. Koprowski, including two Nobel Prize laureates and former Wistar employees. Attendance at the reception requires registration, and we urge you to look out for a separate invitation from Lynn Keily at the Wistar Institute. Please be aware that the reception is exclusive to registered guests due to security requirements at this top-ranked institution.
