Humanitarian Leadership in Times of Crisis – The Work of the Folkowisko Humanitarian Foundation in Ukraine and Beyond

 

During this presentation, Marcin Piotrowski, a journalist, sociologist, and humanitarian activist, will provide an in-depth look at his initiatives in response to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Since the onset of the war on February 24, 2022, Marcin Piotrowski has been at the forefront of humanitarian efforts, establishing critical support systems at the border, creating humanitarian towns, and delivering aid deep into affected regions. He will present his critical humanitarian work in Ukraine and discuss the broader implications of his efforts.

  • An overview of the Folkowisko Humanitarian Foundation’s rapid response efforts, which delivered nearly 2,000 tons of aid to cities like Mariupol, Kyiv, and Kharkiv during the first month of the conflict.
