The Kosciuszko Foundation proudly presents The Real Within: A New Generation of Polish Realism, an exhibition showcasing works by eight renowned Polish contemporary artists whose works have earned international acclaim and a place in the prestigious Lunar Codex* project.

The exhibition celebrates a remarkable convergence of tradition and innovation, marks the centennial of the Foundation’s activities, and pays homage to the rich legacy of Polish art while spotlighting the talent and vision of a new generation of Polish realism painters.

The featured works echo the Foundation’s permanent collection, which includes masterpieces by 19th-century Polish luminaries, offering a dialogue between the timeless artistry of the past and the dynamic creativity of today.

Through this unique exhibit, visitors will experience the enduring influence of Polish realism, reimagined by contemporary painters for a global and even interstellar audience.

Celebrate 100 years of cultural stewardship, artistic excellence, and the unbreakable connection between heritage and innovation. Don’t miss this historic centennial event, where the echoes of Polish mastery reverberate into the future!

Exhibition opening – Thursday, March 20, 7 PM at the KF, NYC

* The Lunar Codex project is an initiative to send a vast collection of contemporary art, literature, music, and other creative works from around the world to the Moon, essentially creating a “time capsule” on the lunar surface, spearheaded by Canadian physicist and artist Samuel Peralta; it aims to archive works from thousands of artists, writers, and filmmakers across multiple countries, preserving a snapshot of human creativity for future generations to discover.
