The 2023 KF Teaching English in Poland Program has been concluded!
The 2023 Kosciuszko Foundation Teaching English in Poland Program (TEIP) has been concluded! This year, with the support of 66 dedicated American volunteers, the Kosciuszko Foundation Poland and the Kosciuszko Foundation, Inc. in New York organized 7 summer camps in different cities across Poland for a total of over 600 children. Four hundred of them were Polish, and 210 were Ukrainian.
The camps were located in Northern and South-Eastern Poland, and each camp was two weeks long. During their stay at the camps, the kids were provided with an opportunity to improve their English language skills and to learn about the United States and its culture through different activities, including sports, art, and cultural projects. Also, Ukrainian and Polish children learned about each other’s culture and history and made lifelong friendships. The TEIP team made every effort to ensure that the Ukrainian children felt a sense of security, stability, and protection, much needed given the current situation in Ukraine.
Thanks to our generous donors, we have been able to organize the TEIP Program for more than 30 years with numerous volunteers and students. Since its beginning, thousands of American volunteers have attended TEIP in almost 150 summer camps nationwide. The program allows them to become acquainted with Poland’s people, history, language, culture, and educational system.
If you are an educator or are passionate about teaching, please consider volunteering and sharing your knowledge and skills next summer in Poland. You can apply on our Website: www.thekf.org. Without volunteers, this program wouldn’t be possible!
If you have any questions regarding the TEIP program, please email us at teip@thekf.org or call (212)734-2130.
