Detailed Camp Information (2027)

Camp Dates:July 5-18.2026

CAMP PROGRAM

English lessons offered as part of the camp will be conducted using a learning-through-play method, which yields excellent educational results and helps break down language barriers. Learning English doesn’t have to be boring – therefore, lessons will be closely integrated with a variety of activities, such as sports, arts and crafts, music, and movement activities.

Language classes will take place daily in the morning and afternoon.

The Polish staff will work with volunteers from the USA, providing them with organizational and educational support, as well as assistance with daily camp activities.

TRIPS AND ATTRACTIONS

The camp program includes the following attractions and activities:

• Introductory Campfire – participant integration, learning about Polish and American cultures, joint games, conversations, and elements of regional traditions;
• Art Workshops – creative and craft activities developing imagination and manual skills;
• Vocal Workshops – voice work and elements of music;
• Dance Workshops – movement classes;
• Sports Activities and Local Historical Trips – team games, outdoor activities;
• Hiking Trips in Nature Reserves – educational walks in the Roztocze region.

Additional activity suggestions from the U.S. team are very welcome and can be included in the camp program.

VENUE

The central location for activities will be the Municipal Cultural Center in Narol. The facility has a large and a small hall, a kitchen, and recreational facilities, including a playground and a campfire area. Nearby are a sports field and an athletics zone.

In the surrounding area, there are numerous historical sites and forested regions, allowing for outdoor classes, educational trips, and integration activities.

ACCOMMODATION FOR VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers will be accommodated at Bojkówka in Ruda Różaniecka. This is a new lodging facility offering comfortable rooms with access to bathrooms and shared spaces.

Bojkówka is located in a picturesque town with a reservoir, offering opportunities to spend free time outdoors and to socialize after program activities.

TRANSPORT

All transport arrangements during the camp, including transfers to classes, trips, and attractions, will be organized by the Polish staff.

THE AREA – NAROL MUNICIPALITY

Narol is a town in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Lubaczów County, serving as the seat of the Narol urban-rural municipality. The town is situated in the Eastern Roztocze region, along the Tanew River, in an area of exceptional natural and scenic value.

Narol has a rich history and many monuments, including the 18th-century Łosiów Counts Palace, a historic town hall, and the parish church. An essential cultural site in the region is also the church on Krupiec, now functioning as a Concert and Exhibition Center. Nearby are also Molotov Line bunkers, a historical and educational attraction.

The Narol municipality is surrounded by nature reserves, encouraging hiking and contact with nature. The region also offers numerous cycling routes through the picturesque landscapes of Roztocze. Visitors can also enjoy kayaking trips along the Tanew River.

Narol is called the “cultural capital of Roztocze.” Numerous cultural events take place here, such as the Imperial-Royal Galician Fair, the Arts of Narol festival, and the Jazz All Souls’ Day event, attracting artists and tourists from all over Poland and abroad.

The ZSL Hostel in Ruciane‑Nida offers comfortable accommodation for groups and volunteers. Rooms are simple, clean, and functional, with shared bathroom facilities located on each floor.
The hostel is situated close to the forest and school grounds, providing a peaceful and safe environment for all guests.

Ruciane‑Nida is a small town in the Warmian‑Masurian region of northern Poland, surrounded by the vast Pisz Forest and several beautiful lakes. It’s a peaceful place full of nature, perfect for relaxing, walking, and enjoying the outdoors.

The town offers many attractions for visitors. You can take boat cruises on the Masurian lakes, go kayaking on the famous Krutynia River, or explore long cycling and hiking trails through the forest. The historic Guzianka Lock is a popular spot where you can watch boats pass between lakes. Nearby, you can also visit the wildlife reserve on Lake Nidzkie, and the charming village of Gałkowo with its traditional wooden architecture. Families often enjoy the local beaches, rope parks, and small marinas. Nature lovers can spot deer, birds, and other wildlife in the surrounding forest. In summer, the town hosts outdoor events, local markets, and sailing activities. Ruciane‑Nida combines lakes, forests, and friendly local culture, making it a great destination for anyone who loves nature, water sports, and peaceful holidays.

The Szuwarek Resort in Chmielno offers comfortable accommodation for groups, school trips, and volunteers. Rooms are clean, practical, and well‑maintained, with private bathrooms available in allunits. The resort also provides access to recreational facilities, including kayaks, sports equipment, and outdoor activity areas.

The property is located on a quiet peninsula between Lake Białe and Lake Kłodno, surrounded by greenery and peaceful lakeside scenery. The area is part of a local quiet zone, ensuring a calm and safe environment for all guests. Its natural setting, combined with easy access to walking paths and water activities, makes it an ideal place for educational stays, group retreats, and active outdoor programs.

Camp format: English lessons and other activities 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday. Weekends are free for all participants, organizing activities for American volunteers: bicycle rallies, trips by bus in the surrounding forest complexes, historical buildings, visiting the museum in Lubaczów the Polish-Ukrainian border crossing, barbecues. Polish staff from the Lubaczów Commune will cooperate  with our American guests to enable any form of language classes.

Facilities and equipment
We have 5 classrooms at your disposal with tables, chairs and a multimedia studio. We have sports facilities (sports hall, sports complex “orlik”). We have various types of sports equipment.  In the “Pastorówki” building in the neighboring village of Podlesie, American staff will stay in two-person rooms with bathrooms.  Our school canteen serves typical regional meals.

Transport
All matters related to transport to and from the camp will be organized by Polish staff in accordance with the need of our guests.

We have experience in cooperation with educational institutions in Europe, as we participated for nearly 10 years in the implementation of COMENIUS and ERASMUS projects.

“World Around Intercultural Primary School”

Camp Dates: June 29, 2026-July 10, 2026 

Number and age of participants: 100 students (80 Polish students and 20 Ukrainian students). 6-13 years old.

Camp Format

Academos is a private primary school established in 2009. Since then, it has been known locally as a place that celebrates both individualism and diversity.

By educating future citizens of a united and democratic world, we strive to equip our students with skills and knowledge which will allow them to enter adulthood fully aware of their rights and responsibilities. We wish to help shape open-minded individuals, who are able to appreciate cultural diversity and successfully face the challenges of the 21st century.

With this in mind, we have created a curriculum which focuses not only on teaching children English, but also on boosting their culture awareness. To achieve the former, we offer a variety of ESL classes taught both by Polish instructors and native speakers, so that by the age of 10 our students’ language proficiency allows them to function in English in everyday situations on a communicative level.

Camp dates: July 21-July 28, 2026 

A hotel in Olsztyn near Częstochowa offers simple, clean, and functional accommodation suitable for groups, volunteers, and educational stays. Rooms are well‑maintained and practically furnished, with private or shared bathrooms depending on the chosen standard.

The property is located in a quiet area close to the limestone rock formations and walking trails of the Kraków–Częstochowa Upland. The peaceful surroundings and easy access to nature provide a safe and relaxing environment for all guests. The location is ideal for outdoor activities, group excursions, and visits to the historic castle ruins overlooking the village.

Camp Dates: June 22-July 04,2026

The camp will take place in the town of Nahaczów, located approximately 15 km from the Polish border and about 60 km from Lviv. The activities will be held at the Cross-Border Education Center, which serves as the main space for working with children and volunteers.

The Center has a large classroom that can accommodate around 40 children, allowing for the comfortable organization of language classes, workshops, and integration activities. Additionally, the building includes three accommodation rooms for volunteers, which together can host up to 6 people, a kitchen, and one bathroom. Directly next to the Center there is a small park that can be used for outdoor activities.

If needed, it is also possible to use additional rooms in the nearby school and the National House, which provides great flexibility in planning the number of participants and the types of activities.

The children participating in the camp will be aged between 10 and 15. The final number of participants will depend on the number of volunteers and the size of the group they are willing to work with. In the town of Nahaczów itself, there are approximately 400–500 children, so a larger number of volunteers makes it possible to include more participants in the program.

The Center is well equipped with educational materials – we have English language textbooks, board games, and multimedia equipment, including a computer, printer, projector, television, and computers. Thanks to this, the facility is fully prepared to host a wide range of educational, language, and creative activities.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE DAY CAMP

Camp Dates: July 20-July 26, 2026

DUBIECKO 2026

Teaching English in Poland (TEIP) is an English language learning program carried out in partnership with the Kościuszko Foundation in New York. As part of the program, a summer language camp will be organized in the Municipality of Dubiecko, during which American volunteers will come to Poland to teach English to children and introduce them to American culture.

We combine summer recreation with a real adventure in English!

Organizational framework:

1. The camp is organized as a day camp.
2. Camp dates: July 20–26, 2026
3. Groups:
   • Grades 1–3
   • Grades 4–6
   • Grades 7–8
   • High school (ages 15–19)
4. Activities take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including a lunch break.
5. Trips (as part of the program):
   • Przemyśl – new swimming pool complex, alpine coaster
   • Hadle Szklarskie – bowling, swimming pool, pizza
   • integration bonfire

Location of activities:

The main venue will be the Ignacy Krasicki Primary School in Dubiecko, which offers spacious classrooms equipped with ICT tools, as well as a kitchen and recreational facilities.

Accommodation for volunteers will be provided in a municipal facility located in the village of Wybrzeże. It is a new lodging facility offering comfortable rooms with access to bathrooms and shared spaces. Wybrzeże is situated on the San River, surrounded by green areas suitable for active recreation, and is located close to the center of Dubiecko. 

The Municipality of Dubiecko will provide all transportation during the camp.

At the end of the camp, volunteers will participate in two excursions to explore the Podkarpacie region. Depending on preferences, the options include:

Day 1:

• Visit to Łańcut Castle, narrow-gauge railway ride, visit to the Ulma Family Museum, walk through the old town of Rzeszów
• or
• Krasiczyn Castle, a walk in the Bieszczady Mountains, Solina Lake, and a gondola ride to Jawor

Day 2:

Visits to local cultural and historical sites: the Fossil Museum, Dubiecko Castle, the Orthodox church in Piątkowa, the church in Bachórzec, a kayaking trip, and a farewell bonfire.

THE MUNICIPALITY OF DUBIECKO

Dubiecko is a small town in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Przemyśl County, picturesquely located on the San River. It lies on the border of the Przemyśl and Dynów Foothills — a region known for its scenic landscapes and rich history.

The earliest mention of Dubiecko dates back to the 13th century, and in 1407, the town was granted municipal rights. For centuries, Dubiecko was an important center of trade and craftsmanship, benefiting from its favorable location on the San River. Over time, the town changed owners many times — it belonged, among others, to the Kmita, Stadnicki, and Krasicki families. During the Swedish Deluge and later wars, it was heavily damaged. After the First Partition of Poland in 1772, Dubiecko came under Austrian rule. In the 19th century, it lost its town status, which it regained only in the 21st century — in 2021 — thanks to the efforts of the current mayor, Mr. Jacek Grzegorzak.

The town is primarily known as the birthplace of Ignacy Krasicki, one of the most prominent writers of the Polish Enlightenment. The Dubiecko area is also associated with Aleksander Fredro, a Polish Romantic-era playwright, and Stanisław Stadnicki, known as the “Devil of Łańcut.”

There are many interesting sites and historic landmarks within the Municipality of Dubiecko. The most important of them is the Krasicki Castle in Dubiecko. Originally built as a defensive manor, it was later transformed into a palace. Today, it houses a hotel and restaurant, but remains open to visitors. A historic park with impressive protected trees surrounds the castle.

While visiting Dubiecko, it is also worth seeing the historic Church of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Nearby stands a brick Greek Catholic church from 1927, now a cultural center known as the Borderlands House of Art. Another highlight is the Museum of Fossils and Minerals — a private museum run by Robert Szybiak — that displays rich geological collections from the region and features specimens dating back tens of millions of years.

In nearby villages such as Bachórzec, Nienadowa, and Piątkowa, visitors can explore numerous 18th- and 19th-century monuments. The Municipality of Dubiecko lies within the Przemyśl Foothills Landscape Park, which includes the Brodoszurki nature reserve. This raised peat bog, located between Bachórzec and Winne-Podbukowina, protects rare wetland and peatland plant species and serves as a habitat for many bird and amphibian species. The San River flows through the municipality, offering excellent opportunities for riverside walks, picnics, and nature observation.
