2025 Summer Studies Abroad Program — Apply Now!

The Kosciuszko Foundation’s Polish Summer Study Abroad Program is now accepting applications for 2025.

Scholarships are available for students who wish to study Polish language and culture at either the Jagiellonian University in Kraków or the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin. Programs run from 2 to 6 weeks and offer Polish language classes along with lectures on grammar, history, literature, contemporary life in Poland, and the history of Jews in Poland. These offerings are part of the Kosciuszko Foundation’s Polish Summer Study Abroad Program, designed for students seeking an immersive academic and cultural experience.

Scholarship Opportunities:

  • Tomaszkiewicz-Florio Scholarship: Available to American students of Polish descent to study at either university.

  • Wisconsin Study Polish Scholarship: Available to Wisconsin students of Polish descent for study at the Jagiellonian University.

Scholarships include tuition, a Polish language textbook, accommodation in a double room, meals, a tourist program, and a cultural program.

Eligibility:

  • U.S. citizens and U.S. legal residents of Polish descent

  • High school graduates who will be 18 by the first day of their chosen program

  • Undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors

  • Graduate students (Wisconsin Scholarship only)

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.

Students may also participate in the Polish Summer Study Abroad Program as paying students if they are not awarded a scholarship.
