Polish artist Marianna Stuhr appeared on TVN, one of Poland’s leading television networks, to discuss her upcoming exhibition at the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York, In-Betweenness: “Landscapes of Suspension.”   The exhibition explores memory, uncertainty, transformation, and the emotional landscapes of personal experience.

The exhibition will open with a reception on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. (RSVP HERE)

followed by an Artist Talk with Marianna Stuhr on Wednesday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m. (RSVP HERE)

Curated by Lilly WeiIn-Betweenness: “Landscapes of Suspension” represents an important new chapter in Stuhr’s artistic practice. Through a series of abstract paintings, the artist examines the complex spaces between loss and renewal, certainty and doubt, and the past and an unfolding future.

The works emerge from Stuhr’s deeply personal engagement with experiences of loss and transformation. Rather than depicting specific places, her paintings evoke psychological landscapes—spaces shaped by memory, emotional experience, and moments of transition.

Stuhr’s connection to the Kosciuszko Foundation extends beyond the upcoming exhibition. She is a past participant in the Foundation’s Exchange to the U.S. Program, through which she led an artistic project in the Printmaking Department at the University of Connecticut. Her experience in the United States became part of a broader artistic journey that has continued to evolve across disciplines and borders.

From her early engagement with printmaking to her current work in painting, Stuhr has developed an increasingly distinctive artistic language. Her practice reflects both her Polish roots and an expanding international perspective, creating a body of work that is at once intimate and widely resonant.

The Kosciuszko Foundation is proud to host this significant exhibition and to see Stuhr’s work receive such prominent attention in Poland.

Artist Talk with Marianna Stuhr on Wednesday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m.

Please RSVP HERE

During the artist talk, Stuhr will discuss her creative journey, the evolution of her practice, and the ideas behind this new body of work. Together, the exhibition and accompanying program offer audiences an opportunity to encounter an artist whose work bridges personal experience, artistic transformation, and an increasingly international career.

The Kosciuszko Foundation invites the public to join Marianna Stuhr for the opening reception and artist talk, discover her work in person, and share the news of this important exhibition with others.
