“Spies in My Blood: Secrets of a Polish Family’s Fight Against Nazis & Communists”

Alex Storozynski comes from a family that survived Nazi slave labor camps and Soviet Gulags—and fought back as soldiers, spies, and assassins. When he traveled behind the Iron Curtain in search of his family’s past, Communist authorities declared him an “enemy of the state” and banned him from Poland.
Three generations of undercover agents lived within the Storozynski household, and their extraordinary true stories are revealed in Spies in My Blood, a gripping account of courage, resistance, and identity set against some of the darkest chapters of the 20th century.

Described as “a duo so well-matched they sound like one instrument,” Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki are among the most vibrant and innovative chamber ensembles of their generation. Praised by legendary artists such as Krzysztof Penderecki and Maxim Vengerov, the duo was awarded Poland’s most prestigious classical music honor—the 2024 Polityka Passport—for their versatility, virtuosity, imagination, and inventive repertoire for the unique pairing of violin and accordion.
