Janczewski Award

The Bohdan and Zygmunt Janczewski Award was founded by a prominent andrologist, the late Zygmunt Janczewski, professor at the Warsaw Medical Academy. Prof. Janczewski decided that the award will be given every two years to a Polish medical doctor (who has Polish citizenship and permanently resides in Poland) whose writing contributes to the development of his discipline. Prof. Janczewski appointed the Kosciuszko Foundation as the administrator of the award. We have worked in this capacity since 2004.
The Foundation gives a prize of up to $15 000 to authors of the most original and substantial publications in the area of clinical medicine. The prize can be also given to authors who prepared a publication based on their research conducted in a foreign scientific institution. Awarded papers must be published in international medical magazines, in English, during the last two years before each edition of the prize.
