Kosciuszko Foundation Recognized as a Leading Supporter of Polish-heritage Students in the U.S.
The Kosciuszko Foundation is proud to share that it has been recognized by the North American Association of Teachers of Polish (NAATP) as one on the leading source of financial support for students of Polish heritage in the United States. This acknowledgment appears in NAATP’s newly published 2025 Polish Language Enrollment Survey Report (pp. 31–32).
NAATP’s report underscores the importance of this commitment, noting:
“Two sources of financial support for Polish students stood out: the Kosciuszko Foundation and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).”
Supporting Polish Language Education Across Leading U.S. Universities
This recognition reaffirms the Foundation’s long-standing mission to promote educational exchange and preserve Polish language and culture within the academic landscape of the United States.
The Kosciuszko Foundation has provided essential support to Polish language education at prominent institutions including Brown University, the University of North Carolina, Loyola University Chicago, Daemen University, Canisius College, and Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY). Beginning in the next academic year, the Foundation will further expand its support at Hunter College to include Translation Courses for students of Polish language, strengthening academic pathways and professional opportunities for learners.
The Kosciuszko Foundation is also pleased to announce that applications are currently open for two of its flagship scholarship programs: Tuition Scholarships and the Exchange Program to Poland. Each year, the Foundation awards up to $2 million through its educational initiatives, supporting Americans and Poles in academic, cultural, and professional exchange.
